• 하얀 전쟁 White Death

  2005년 5월 18일 칠레의 한 부대는 눈보라가 몰아칠 것을 알면서도 무리하게 어린 신병 마흔 넷과 한 명의 상사를 산으로 훈련을 보냈고 그들은 모두 동사하였다. 이 비극적 참사를 같은 장소 같은 날짜 (5월 18일)에 촬영하였다. 흰 폭풍과 검은 화면, 조용히 숨을 거두는 병사와 거친 쇳소리를 내는 눈보라가 한 화면에서 대비된다. 눈보라와 소리에 의해 병사들은 분쇄되어 가고 유령처럼 사라지는 애니메이션은 몸과 마음, 인식 변화와 의식이 천천히 손실되는 과정을 잘 표현해준다. (박지연)

   

  불협화음 Dissonance

  외로운 거리 음악가는 자신의 인형과 유토피아 도시에 살면서 피아노를 연주한다. 버림받은 인형은 피아니스트의 분신이다. 둘이서 피아노를 연주하는 시간은 완벽한 화음을 이루며 그들의 상상으로 이룬 공간은 완벽하다. 때때로 돌아오는 의식의 분명함은 현실을 직면하게 하고 천천히 소설 세계는 붕괴된다. 애니메이션과 실사 사이에서 진동하는 이 영화는 음울하지만 아름답다. 몽환적이면서도 환상적인 장면이 압권이다. (박지연)

   

  삼형제 Three Brothers

  삼형제의 맏이로 부모님 대신 동생들을 돌보며 살아가는 소년의 유일한 취미는 병아리를 부화시키는 것이다. 그러나 여우에게 닭이 물려 죽기도 하는 등 계속된 실패로 소년은 매번 좌절을 맛보지만 시간은 흐르고 마침내 부화에 성공하게 된다. 가족의 보살핌이 결핍된 아이들의 사랑에 대한 갈구를 병아리의 부화에 비유하여 은유적으로 잘 표현한 점이 돋보인다. (김영조)

   

  집구하기 The Coming Day

  이란에서 기자생활을 하다 독일로 건너온 파로크, 그녀의 소망은 자신만의 보금자리를 구해 난민촌에서 벗어나는 것이다. 일자리지원센터의 주택자금 지원 기준은 40.2m, 하지만 그녀가 겨우 구한 집은 43.2m이다. 그녀에게 독일은, 이란에서는 정부의 검열로 발행되지 못한 시집을 책방에서 찾아 읽는 기쁨을 주는 곳이기도 하지만 그 외 생존과 관련된 거주지를 구하는 문제를 던져주는 존재이다. 이민자의 고충과 괴로움이 잘 표현된 영화. (이정진)

   

  복수를 위한 기다림 The Time of a Young Man about to Kill

  상대에게 당한 그대로 되갚는 피의 복수법 “카눈”이 아직 관습적으로 정당화되는 나라 알바니아. 아버지를 죽인 살인자에게 피의 복수를 하기 위해 칼을 갈며 창백한 얼굴로 그날을 대비하는 아들은, 복수할 상대의 아들이 열여섯 살 이 되어야 보복이 가능한 관습에 따라 얼마 남지 않은 그날을 기다린다. 끊임없이 복수가 이어지는 참혹하고 전근대적인 관습법이 아직 남아 있는 알바니아 사회현실의 단면을 절제된 대사와 성찰적인 이미지로 잘 표현하였으며 특히 결말부분을 오프 사운드만으로 처리해 보는 이의 상상을 자극한다. (김영조)

  네리탄 진지리아(Neritan Zinxhiria)
  He was born in April 1989 in Tirana, Albania. In the winter of 1990, his family immigrates to Greece. In 2008, he was awarded as the Best Newcomer Director in the International Short Film Festival in Drama for his first short film “The best bride”. His second film “Chamomile”, won the Golden Horseman at the 2013 Dresden International Short Film Festival, followed by other 40 worldwide selections and 18 awards. In Greece, the film wins six awards among which the Best Short Film Award in International Short Film Festival in Drama, the Best Short Film Award in Athens International Film Festival and the Best Short Film of the Year Award given by the Greek Film Academy.   로베르토 콜리오(Roberto Coll？o)
  A graduate of Integral Film and Television from Center of Cinematographic Research. While studying in Argentina he wrote and directed his first short film "Hombre muerto", a literary adaptation based on the homonymous story by Horacio Quiroga. Roberto Collío returned to Chile on 2009, where he participate as a sound designer in several projects, awarded both at national and international film festivals, among which are the short films. Currently Collío is developing his first feature, a documentary called “Petit Frère- Hermano Menor". The project, co-directed with Rodrigo Robledo and produced by Isabel Orellana Guarello, was awarded with a CORFO grant for development. Dead Man(2009) White Dead(2014)

  

  알림 칸(Aleem Khan)
  Aleem graduated in Film from the University of Westminster in London and works as a writer-director. His debut short film, Diana, which follows the day in the life of an Indian pre-op transsexual, has screened at over 30 festivals worldwide. Aleem was selected to take part in the 2012 Locarno Film Festival Summer Academy and developed the short film, Tasting the Salt, later that year as a finalist on B3 Media’s Talent Lab Programme. Aleem is currently writing his first feature length screenplay, After Love, after developing it as a finalist on The Bureau’s prestigious Save Our Scripts writing scheme.

  

  틸 노박(Till Nowak)
  Till Nowak is a digital artist, designer and filmmaker, born in 1980. Since 1999 Till works as a professional computer graphics artist on his own independent projects Till graduated 2005 in media design at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, Germany. Tills work has been exhibited in hundreds of inter- national film festivals, featured in books and at SIGGRAPH 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2011 and was awarded with more than 60 awards. Besides his studio work Till has given lectures about his workflows in international events at the 361° conference in Mumbai and the NIFFF in Neuchatel and worked as jury member in various film festivals.
