건전지 엄마 / Battery Mommy

어린이 집에서 살아가는 건전지 엄마는 보이지 않는 돌봄의 주역이다. 등원한 아이들을 위해 체온계, 카메라, 비눗방울을 만드는 층에서 맹활약을 한다. 그런데 아이들의 낮잠 시간 동안 크리스마스 트리에서 화재가 발생한다. 놀란 건전지 엄마가 경보기로 달려가지만 문제가 있다. 동분서주하는 전기 혹은 건전지의 우화이자 생활을 둘러싼 돌봄에 관한 모든 것을 담는 애니메이션.

A ‘battery’ mommy lives in a daycare center and takes care of kids behind the scene. When kids come to the daycare, she enthusiastically works where she is needed such as a thermometer, a camera and a bubble gun for them. One day, when kids take a nap, the Christmas tree catches fire. Battery mom is frightened and runs to the fire alarm, but something is wrong. It is an allegorical animation about ‘busy’ electricity or a battery and what caring in our daily life really means.

구름이 어떻게 변해가는지 누구나 알지만 애니메이션을 통해 보는 것은 여전히 즐겁다. 예상한 대로 점점 어두워지고 무거워져서 비가 되는 구름의 모습도 있지만 미처 예상하지 못했던 의인화의 순간들이 있다. 딸 구름을 걱정하는 아버지 구름이 보여주는 이야기 덕분이다. 단순한 구름의 변화로 생각하기에는 인생 자체이고, 구름의 여행이 가족의 마음이 될 수 있다는 생각에 이른다.

Everyone knows how cloud transforms, but still, it is fun to watch it through animation works. As expected, we can see the scenes like the sky gets dark, and cloud turns into rain, but at the same time, there are unexpected moments of personification, for example, such a scene that the daddy cloud worries about his daughter cloud. It is not a simple change in clouds, but a life itself, and even we can even think that the journey of the clouds can be a heart of family.

눈눈눈 / Eyes

한쪽 눈이 없는 윌슨. 아이들은 윌슨의 자화상을 보며 놀려대고 괴롭힌다. 도망쳐 나온 윌슨은 이상한 생명체를 따라 숲으로 들어가는 데 그곳에는 자신이 종이로 만들었던 괴물들이 살고 있었다. 다름의 세계에서 자신을 되찾은 소녀는 새로운 자화상을 발견하고 그것을 교실 벽에 건다. 다른 양식의 애니메이션의 스타일과 괴물, 기형 그리고 여러 다름들 사이의 긍정성을 발견하는 올해의 단편이다.

Wilson has only one eye, so kids are mocking and bullying her while watching the self-portrait of Wilson. Wilson runs away and follows a strange creature into the woods where the monsters she made of paper live. She recovers herself in the world of difference, finds a new self-portrait of herself and hang it on the classroom wall. This short animation is the masterpiece of year that makes us discover positivity among different animation styles, monsters, deformity and diverse differences.

도형 나무 / Three Trees

세 명의 친구들인 단풍나무, 소나무, 목련나무의 다른 이름은 동그라미, 네모, 세모입니다. 이들은 서로 뒤엉키며 성장하고 숲을 이뤄갑니다. 도형의 원형적 상상력과 숲의 성장하는 이미지의 마력이 담긴 짧지만 강렬한 작품. 도형 혹은 나무들의 우정과 연대 그리고 숲과 세상에 관한 다양한 상상들이 단순화면서도 화려하게 화면을 채웁니다.

Three best friends, Maple, Pine and Magnolia have other names; Circle, Square and Triangle. They are intertwined with one another and grow together, forming a forest. Archetypal imagination of the shapes and the magical power from the image of a growing forest are strong even in this short film. Friendship and solidarity of the shapes, or, trees, and various imagination about forests and the world fill the screen in a simple yet fancy way.

스크러비 / Scrubby

털북숭이 스크러비. 엄마의 털 속에서 살고 싶지만, 어느 날 엄마의 털이 빠지기 시작한다. 한올, 두올… 급기야 엄마가 사라지고, 스크러비는 엄마를 찾아 나선다. 그곳에서 스크러비는 새로운 친구를 만난다. 스크러비는 자신의 털로 친구를 녹여줄 수 있을까요?

Hairy Scrubby wants to live in his mother's thick fur, but she's starting to lose hair, one by one. Finally, she disappears. Scrubby goes out looking for her mom. While searching, he meets a new friend, but he is hairless and frozen. Can Scrubby warm him up with his fur? Can he become a new mother?

아름다운 가오메이에서 / Gaomei Fantasy

가오메이는 대만의 가장 유명한 습지 중 하나다. 이곳에 온 소녀가 자신의 신발을 잃어버린다. 아이는 슬리퍼를 찾기 위한 모험을 시작하고, 자연스럽게 서식하는 동식물들을 만난다. 작은 생명들과의 만남은 생명의 풍요로움을 예찬할 뿐만 아니라 생명의 소중함을 통해 성장하는 계기가 된다. 작지만 아름다운 풍경이 펼쳐진다.

Gaomei is a famous wetland in Taiwan. A girl who visited here loses one of her slippers. She starts a journey to find the slipper and thus, meets animals and plants inhabiting there. Meeting with these little creatures are the moments not only for praising affluence of life but for growing up by recognizing the preciousness of life. A little but beautiful scenery unfolds.

할머니의 걱정빵 / Worry Bread

저마다의 이유로 할머니의 걱정빵을 먹으러 오는 사람들. 빵을 먹으면 걱정이 사라진다는 소문이 널리 퍼진다. 그러던 어느 날 꼬마 손님이 찾아온다. 빵이 떨어진 할머니는 손수 빵을 만들며 간직했던 걱정을 늘어놓기 시작한다. 걱정 해결사였던 할머니에게도 숨겨진 걱정이 있었다. 어쩌면 걱정의 해소는 빵이 아니라 두 사람 사이에 자리하고 있었던 만남과 고백 자체가 아닐까.

People come to eat the old woman’s ‘worry bread’ for their own reason. The rumor that when you eat the bread, your worries will disappear is spreading. One day, a kid comes to see her, but the bread already has run out. So, she starts to make the bread and share her own worries with this kid. Surprisingly, the worry fixer has her own worries! Maybe it is not the bread that solves concerns but the meeting and the confession itself.
