아무 잘못 없는 / Not Anyone’s Fault

검도 특기생으로 진학을 앞둔 중3 도윤에게는 집 안의 현실도 진학 문제도 모두 버겁다. 아빠는 사고로 누운 엄마를 돌보느라 어린 동생을 도윤에게 맡긴다. 하지만 검도 합숙 훈련을 받고 싶은 도윤에게는 무거운 짐이다. 현실과 욕망 사이의 갈림길에 서 있는 도윤. 그의 선택은 어떤 결과를 만들어 낼 것인가.

A third grade middle schooler, Doyoon, is expected to go to high school with her specialty, kendo. However, she is overwhelmed by problems at home and going to a high school. Her dad has to take care of his wife who is hospitalized because of an accident, thus, Doyoon has to take responsibility of her little brother, which is a burden for her since she wants to go to a kendo training camp. Doyoon is standing at the crossroads of the reality and her passion. What will her choice lead her into?

여름날의 몽유병 / Talking to the River

카이는 강이 흐르는 외딴 마을에 살고 있다. 여름 방학에 부모님이 있는 도시에 가고 싶지만 동생을 임신한 소식이 들려오면서 어쩔 수 없이 이곳의 여름을 보내야 한다. 답답한 카이는 강과 불의 꿈을 꾼고, 그것은 두려운 동시에 선명한 아름다움을 지니고 있다. 소년의 마음과 자연의 풍경 사이에서 한 여름밤의 몽유병이 강렬하게 다가온다.

Kai lives in a remote village by the river. During the summer vacation, he wants to go to the city where his parents live, but he can’t because his mother is pregnant. Frustrated, Kai dreams of river and fire. It is scary but obviously beautiful at the same time. Amid the mindscape of the boy and the landscape of nature, the sleep walking in the midsummer night makes a strong impression.

엄마는 자신의 아들이 소년에게 쓴 러브레터를 발견하고 놀란다. 자신도 레즈비언이지만 아들이 동성을 좋아한다는 사실에 걱정이 따른다. 자신이 그랬던 것처럼 아들 또한 성장의 어려움을 겪지 않을까 근심하면서 친구와 대화를 나누고, 아들이 좋아하는 아이의 생일 파티에 참석하기로 한다. 가족, 친구, 우정 그 이상의 모든 것들이 일상 속에 펼쳐진다.

Mom is shocked when she found a love letter her son wrote to a boy. She herself is a lesbian, but worries that her son likes a boy. She has a talk with her friend, concerning that her son might have difficulty while growing up as she had had. After that, she decides to go to a birthday party of the boy his son likes. Family, friends, friendship and much more in our daily lives unfold.
