  축구 소녀 모나 Winners

  베를린으로 오게 된 시리아 난민 소녀 모나는 언어와 문화적 차이로 인해 학교에 적응하는 것이 쉽지 않다. 하지만 여자 축구팀에 참여하게 되면서 조금씩 변화가 일어난다. 심지어 모나의 축구는 시리아의 난민 수용소에서 언니들을 통해 직접 갈고 닦은 실전용이다. 유럽 내에 일어나는 난민의 문제를 경쾌하면서도 어두운 현실을 망각하지 않고 모두 담아내는 올해 베를린 제너레이션 섹션 개막작.

   

  Mona is a Syrian refuge girl escaping to Berlin. She has a hard time with adjusting to a new school due to differences in language and culture. However, as she joins a girls’ soccer team, something changes little by little. She is good at playing soccer because when Mona was in a refugee camp in Syria, she played soccer with friends a lot. This movie deals with the refuge issue in Europe in a way that is not too serious, but clearly makes us remember the dark reality there. It is an opening film of the Generation section of Berlin International Film Festival this year.
